Celebrating Our Lives: Women in All Seasons

UUCC Women’s Retreat

April 13, 2018

8:30 to 1:30 PM in the church fellowship hall.

Give yourself the gift of a retreat with other wonderful UUCC women, led by Kansas City-based musician and social worker, Joy Zimmerman!

You are invited to share a time of renewal, self-reflection and fun. We’ll share stories, songs, good food, and strategies to bolster us for the days ahead.   Like trees in all seasons, we can enjoy life’s gentle breezes and withstand its turbulent winds when we are strong in purpose and community. Join us!  Breakfast, lunch and childcare will be provided.

Please register by April 1 by emailing wendy.c.sontag@gmail.com.

Include any special dietary needs and whether you will need childcare.

This retreat is planned as a special gift to the women of UUCC.  If you would like to donate to help support the event, please speak to a member of the planning committee: Amy Christensen, Elaine Lundstrom, Mary Minard or Wendy Sontag.

Note: Joy Zimmerman, LMSW, is a soulful singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and presenter. She will be presenting a CD release concert “to the girl” in the UUCC Sanctuary on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The concert is open to the public.  Suggested donation: $25.

Joy’s music is shaped by violin lessons that began before kindergarten, diverse musical taste, and plenty of sweet and bitter moments. Joy has five albums of original music and numerous songwriting awards in her bag.  Check her out her website: joyzimmermanmusic.com

Come hear Joy Zimmerman on Friday, April 12 and help support the Retreat!
