Guidelines for Call/Bulletin Items

Goal:

To provide a clear procedure for members to submit information for publicity through The Call or Sunday Bulletin that does not play favorites, and reduces the need for more pages (or more effort to fit on existing pages).

Sponsored Events of Urbandale UCC:

Submit the paragraph of information to the Office Coordinator by the designated deadline.

Unsponsored Events:

This includes community events which reflect the mission of the church OR invitations for church member personal celebrations for which the entire church is invited. This does not include personal items for sale or events not related to the church mission.

• Submit the event name, date, time, and contact name to the Office Coordinator by the deadline.
• A table of “Personal or Community Events” will be included in the Call/Bulletin with contact information for additional details.

Determining Sponsorship:

To obtain church sponsorship of a community event, a request must be submitted to the Leadership Team for their consideration at a regularly scheduled meeting.
